Vijayalaxmi Manerikar
Vijayalaxmi Manerikar is a Light Music singer and an educator. She has a Master of Arts in English, a Master of Arts in Education, a Master of Arts in Music, and a Bachelor of Sangit Visharad.
She comes from a well-known musical family. Pt. Shankarrao Vairagkar, her father, is a master vocalist of classical music who enjoys a devoted following both in India and abroad.
In the recent past, this multi-talented vocalist even created her own musical seminars and programmes, which in a sense is her social contribution to the music community.
Vijayalaxmi is a poetess as well, and her recent work is gaining popularity. She recently launched her poetry collection, Hridayrang, published by Dilip Raj, and she uses the moniker “Laxmi Mangesh” to market it.
