Vijayalaxmi believes that “poetry is a condensed form of art that uses words to elicit an emotion in the reader. On paper, words may look like symbols, but the emotion that poems elicit in us is much more immediate and physical.

For this reason, we must therefore pay close attention to every element of the poem from both the writer’s and the reader’s perspectives. When we are open to the words’ music and meaning, the poem has the potential to envelop our entire being and body.”

Along with her impeccable work of music, she is also a poet who expresses her emotions and thoughts through the boundless art of poetry. She recently launched her poetry collection, “Hridayrang” and her upcoming books include “Laagir” “Kshema Lagi” “Sanskruti Samvedana” and “Gaane Ulgadtanna”
